Nissha Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Nissha”) hereby declares its support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
The Group views sustainability as an initiative for the sustainable growth and development of both the company and society, and aims to contribute to solving social issues by creating business opportunities and reducing risks.
The Group has set out a Sustainability Vision, which describes where we want to be in 2030 in terms of our business and social contributions. In particular, in response to climate change, we are developing a range of environmentally-friendly products (Nissha ecosense) such as packaging materials and molded products made from paper, pulp and other plant-derived materials that contribute to the elimination of plastics. Moreover, we have set a goal of reducing total CO2 emissions generated by the Group’s own business activities by 30% (compared to 2020 levels), and we are introducing specific measures such as switching to renewable energy sources.
Going forward, we will analyze the financial impact of climate change-related opportunities and risks on our business activities based on the recommendations of the TCFD.

TCFD stands for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, an organization created by the Financial Stability Board (FSB), an international organization whose members include central banks and financial regulators in major countries.
The TCFD recommends the disclosure of climate change-related opportunities and risks and their financial implications, which are important factors in making investment decisions. About 3,000 organizations around the world, including financial institutions, corporations and governments, have publicly declared their support for the recommendations.
