July 10, 2019
Nissha Co., Ltd.
Nissha Group company Nissha Printing Communications, Inc. (hereinafter, “Nissha Printing Communications”) has been recognized for the printing and binding of “Bokura no necromancy (Our Necromancy)”, by Daisuke Sasaki, which received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Award at the 53rd Japan Book Design Awards.
The Japan Book Design Awards, organized by the Japan Book Publishers Association and the Japan Federation of Printing Industries, is the Japanese publishing industry’s only event dedicated to the comprehensive assessment of the fruits of book production—publishing, printing, binding, and designing. The MEXT Minister’s Award is presented to the “book that sets an example of beautiful book production; comprehensively excels in binding, design, and contents; offers suggestions for the future; and befits the MEXT Minister’s Award.”
“Bokura no necromancy”, released by the publisher Numabooks, represented by book coordinator Shintaro Uchinuma, is distinctive in both book production and distribution methods. The book is sold only by direct online sales in limited quantities during specific periods of time at fluctuating “market prices.” Nissha Printing Communications, responsible for printing and binding, was selected for its high-quality color digital printing system Nissha Digital Printing (NDP), which offers “full color reproduction on a level with offset printing for small lot production.”
Nissha Co., Ltd. plans to continue providing value to customers through products and services such as NDP.
* NDP is a registered trademark of Nissha Co., Ltd.
