Nissha Exhibits Force Sensor at Sensor Expo Japan 2018

September 25, 2018

Nissha Co., Ltd.

Nissha Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Nissha”) is set to exhibit at Sensor Expo Japan 2018, to be held September 26-28, 2018, at Tokyo Big Sight. The booth will showcase products under development including the Force Map Monitoring System; Gait Track, Load Distribution and COP Visualizer; and Shear Force Sensor.
Nissha’s Device Business Unit is drawing on the technology cultivated through its core product of film-based touch sensors to develop the Force Sensor.
Visitors are invited to the Nissha booth to experience measurement with demonstration equipment.

Force Map Monitoring System

The Force Map Monitoring System measures the surface pressure distribution of an object placed on the Force Sensor and displays the results on a monitor. Comprising a compact monitor requiring no power cable and a Force Sensor, the product is portable for use anywhere and enables quantitative analysis with only simple operation. Expected applications include measurement and analysis in factories, and inventory control through placement on the shelves of unmanned stores.

Gait Track, Load Distribution and COP Visualizer

The Gait Track, Load Distribution and COP Visualizer is a mat-type product dedicated to gait analysis. Mats can be joined for 10 meters or more of gait measurement and used to analyze foot angle, stride length, and speed of walking. Applications include training support at fitness clubs, and gait training at long-term care facilities.

Shear Force Sensor

The Shear Force Sensor is designed for friction analysis. The product can provide accurate measurements, for example, of the force on the tire when a vehicle starts moving, and the force on the shoe upon lift-off when running.
