Nissha Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Nissha”) performs activity for the purpose of "Promotion and support of arts and culture" advocating in the Basic Social Contribution Policy. As the part, Nissha is a sponsor of the exhibition “Masterpieces of POLA MUSEUM OF ART from Monet and Renoir to Picasso” in Fukushima Prefectural Museum of Art from April 28 to June 24, 2018. This is a traveling exhibition and next venues will be OKAYAMA PREFECTURAL MUSEUM OF ART and The Museum of Modern Art, Ibaraki.
The exhibition of "Masterpieces of POLA MUSEUM OF ART from Monet and Renoir to Picasso" Overview
From the collection of POLA MUSEUM OF ART, this exhibition will introduce representative Western History of Modern Art, from Impressionism, Monet and Renoir, to Post-Impressionism Cezanne, and to Fauvism and to 20th Century's representative, Picasso. POLA MUSEUM OF ART was constructed in Hakone in 2002 as a facility for exhibiting art objects collected by Mr. Tsuneshi Suzuki, the second generation of POLA's founder. It has over 10,000 collections including Western paintings, Japanese modern paintings, and crafts. Above all, the collection of French modern art from the Impressionism to the 20th century is one of the best in the country both in quality and quantity.
