As the part, Nissha is a sponsor of the exhibition “200 Years Special Exhibition After Death, Daimyo and a master of tea ceremony, Matsudaira Fumai -Lord’s Aesthetic eye-” in Mitsui Memorial Museum from April 21 to June 17, 2018. This is a traveling exhibition and next venue will be SHIMANE ART MUSEUM.


The exhibition of “200 Years Special Exhibition After Death, Daimyo and a master of tea ceremony, Matsudaira Fumai -Lord’s Aesthetic eye-” overview
This year, it is 200 years since Matsudaira Fumai (1751-1818), famous as Daimyo and a master of tea ceremony, has died. He gathered a lot of masterpieces such as excellent artworks, special products, and beautiful furniture under a wide network of connections. Today many of them are also designated as national treasures and important cultural property. In this exhibition, we introduce a number of masterpieces which had been loved and cherished by Fumai, and we also introduce a handwritten artworks and instruments that we can know his personality.
