Nissha Starts Full-scale Sales of Microneedle Cosmetics

High safety microneedle cosmetics developed by Nissha Printing Co., Ltd., (hereinafter “Nissha”) have been adopted by Cosmetex Roland Co., Ltd., (hereinafter “Cosmetex Roland”) for the Neo Basic HA Fill Microneedle Patch, slated for presale at major variety stores on April 28. This marks the start of full-scale sales of Nissha microneedle cosmetics.

A new approach to skin care applying the latest "DDS" technology

Microneedle cosmetics represent a new approach to skin care applying the latest drug delivery system (DDS) technology: dissolving microneedle patches. Serum ingredients such as hyaluronic acid are molded into the shape of fine needles and delivered directly into the stratum corneum, or outermost layer of the skin.
Microneedle cosmetics have long held great promise for the skin care industry, but they were seldom used in products intended for general consumers, through retailers such as variety stores, owing to safety concerns over the needles. Nissha developed a proprietary flat end shape, ensuring a higher degree of safety and optimizing the needles for cosmetic applications.

Cosmetex Roland welcomed the high safety of microneedle cosmetics manufactured by Nissha, and adopted them in its Neo Basic HA Fill Microneedle Patch. The product is now available in major variety stores in the first full-scale launch of microneedle cosmetics by Nissha.
