Nissha to Start Providing Sample of Dye-sensitized Solar Cell Module in August 2010
June 25, 2010
Nissha Printing Co.,Ltd.
Nissha Printing Co., Ltd. ("Nissha") will start providing a sample of a dye-sensitized solar cell module in August 2010. The solar cell, developed jointly with the Shimane Institute for Industrial Technology, ensures high durability. Although Nissha has previously provided a sample of a submodule sized 12 cm x 12 cm, the new sample is our company's first module that consists of interlocked, multiple submodules.
The module sample will be installed in a greenhouse for a verification test as part of efforts of the prefecture of Shimane for "green decentralization reforms" advocated by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
Nissha will construct a pilot production line for the dye-sensitized solar cell in the premise of one of its affiliate, Nitec Precision and Technologies, Inc. (Himeji, Hyogo, Japan) in Fiscal 2011. Nissha has undertaken further development of the solar cell, aiming to start pilot production in 2012.
