We are an official corporate sponsor of the exhibition "Hasegawa Tohaku:400th Memorial Retorospective" held from Feb. 23, 2010 to mark the 400th anniversary of the death of Tohaku Hasegawa.
Tohaku Hasegawa (1539 - 1610) was a master painter of the Momoyama era who painted "Pine Trees", which rates among the highest echelon of ink painting, and "The Maple Tree", the gold leaf wall, screen or sliding door colorful paintings. This exhibition has been planned because 2010 marks the 400th year since the death of Tohaku Hasegawa and is the largest ever retrospective of Tohaku's work, displaying almost all of the artist's work that is still held in Japan at the same time.
