Nissha Printing Co., Ltd. has been granted the following “Type 2 Medical Devices Marketing License” by Kyoto Prefecture Government as on April 10, 2017.

 In the Fifth Medium-term Business Plan, which our group is implementing over three years from the fiscal year ending March, 2016 to the fiscal year ending March, 2018, the following medium-term vision was raised: “We will acquire and merge new core technologies into printing technologies and complete the reorganization of our business portfolio in global growth markets”.
We consider medical devices as one of the key promising growth markets. As part of our plan, in September 2016, we acquired, and made a subsidiary of, Graphic Controls Group, a medical device manufacturer headquartered in the USA. Through this acquisition, we have secured sales channels in North and South America, and Europe.
Now, through the aforementioned Medical Device Marketing license and the required establishment of a quality management system, we are able to develop our medical device-related business within the Japanese market.
This is an additional step as we continue on our vision to provide high-quality medical devices with high-value added, and contribute to the healthy and prosperous lives of people around the world.

We also announce that FIS Inc., our group company which develops, manufactures and sells gas sensors, has been registered as a Medical Device Manufacturer by Hyogo Prefecture as on April 4, 2017.
